ABOUT EURONET
- Euronet is a US originating venture and a global leader in processing secure electronic financial and payment transactions with 2,500 employees worldwide. Euronet presence in Serbia started in 2002 when the company started distribution and maintenance of ATMs and launched use of VISA and MasterCard systems in Serbia.
- In 2004 Euronet opened a Customer Support Center in Belgrade, currently employing over 50 multilingual operators and serving the world market in cooperation with the US team.
- Euronet Customer Support Center in Belgrade is one out of two global centers the company runs and takes advantage of time zone difference between USA and Europe, as well as outstanding language skills of the local workforce.
WHY SERBIA?
- While Euronet investment decision was initially market driven, the company selected Serbia over other countries in the region for the following reasons: Serbia offers Europe´s lowest corporate profit tax rate (10%), provides access to large Southeast European markets (60 million consumers) and has a large pool of a highly skilled labor.
- To successfully operate a global Customer Support Center, the company was looking for a location providing multilingual staff - Belgrade based operations serve its clients in many different languages.
SERBIA - EXPERIENCE
- Serbian market proved to be highly lucrative - introduction of VISA and MasterCard systems, launch of the national DINA card system and development of an ATM network in Serbia made local Euronet branch one of the most profitable business units in the whole group.
