Domestic Wine Producers Received Two Golden Medals in the Italian Wine Contest

Wine cellar Radovanovic from Krnjevo and Mackov Podrum from Irig won golden medals at the international contest of enology "Emozioni dal mondo: Merlot e Cabernet insieme" in Bergamo, Italy. Radovanovic received the award for its wine Cabernet Souvignon 2007, while Mackov Podrum won for the Camerlot 2007. At the contest that was organized by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (O.I.V.) the two national wineries have also won the press award for the best Serbian wine among the tested samples.
At the 5th international contest in the quality wine, 198 wines from 16 countries participated, while the committee members were experts, enologists and journalists. According to the evaluation rules, more than half of the committee members were foreigners and experts in the technical knowledge of wine, which adds to the importance of this manifestation.
The golden grand medal was awarded to Marina Cvetic wine, from the winery Masciarelli from Abruco (Italy). This wine is already very well known in the Serbian market.
